Every once in a while a photographer finds a muse that dances the red-skirtfandango with more than a little panache and abandon. And the alchemy happens and you shoot and the magic is captured...working with someone who is not only an old friend but also a dynamic actress and natural-born pierrot made this session an absolute joy. Not once did I have to direct her, apart from "chin down" or "legs together" or "don't get yourself stuck in that window slot!" She has a good artistic eye and a fantastic sense of how the photo will look from the outside looking in . I don't know how she does that, but she does. The mask was freeing as well.. we didn't have the constraint of worrying about expression or eyes closing or any of the usual things that happen shooting people. It was a treat and a hoot and we're doing it all over again very soon!
Watch this space. ;-)
